Language
Danish is a North Germanic language. In addition to being the official language of Denmark, 15–20% of the population of Greenland speak Danish. Danish shares strong mutual intelligibility between Swedish and Norwegian. Unusual its high amount of vowel phonemes, spoken Danish is also famously difficult to pronounce.
Economic Significance
In our experience as translators, Denmark has a remarkably good English education program and most Danish people can speak fluent English in business settings.
